1. Who is responsible

2. Which data we use

When you book: your name, address, phone number, email address, your company name if applicable, the dates of your stay, the number of guests and the extras you choose.

When you sign up for the newsletter: your email address.

When you visit our website: technical data such as your IP address and browser. We only place analytics and advertising cookies if you give your consent.

3. Why we use your data

To carry out your booking and to stay in touch with you about your stay. This is necessary for our agreement with you.

To meet legal obligations, such as tax records and the guest register that hotels are required to keep.

With your consent: to send you our newsletter and to improve our website and ads. You can withdraw that consent at any time.

4. Who we share data with

We never sell your data. We do work with a few parties that process data on our behalf:

• Tommy Booking Support (TOMM.), our reservation system.
• Our hosting provider, for running this website.
• RoomRise and Brevo, for managing and sending our newsletter.
• Google (Google Analytics) and Meta (Facebook and Instagram), only if you accept cookies for statistics and advertising.

We make agreements with these parties about the security of your data. Google and Meta may process data outside the European Union. They do so on the basis of the agreements that apply between the EU and the United States.

5. Cookies

We only use necessary cookies, unless you give consent in our cookie notice. You choose everything at once or per type via "Choose myself". With consent for statistics we load Google Analytics, to see how the website is used. With consent for advertising we load the Meta Pixel, to measure and improve our ads.

If you book with consent for advertising, we send Meta a notification of the booking: the amount, the room and the dates, plus your email address, phone number, name, postcode, town and country in encrypted (hashed) form. Meta also receives the same notification via its own server (the Conversions API), so that measurement still works if a browser blocks the pixel. Without consent we send Meta nothing.

You can change your choice at any time via "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.

6. How long we keep data

We do not keep data longer than necessary. Data we need for our tax records is kept for seven years, as required by law. We keep your email address for the newsletter until you unsubscribe.

7. Security

We take appropriate measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorised use. Our website uses a secure connection.

8. Your rights

You may view, correct or delete your data. You can also object to its use, or have your data transferred. Send your request to info@hoteloldenburg.nl. We will respond within four weeks.

Not satisfied with how we handle your data? Then you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
