Zwolle is a wonderful base for a few days of cycling. From the historic centre you are soon riding along the IJssel, its floodplains and the green countryside.
Route 1
One of the most beautiful directions from Zwolle. From the city centre you cycle via Het Engelse Werk park to the river. Then follow the dykes towards Windesheim, Wijhe or Hattem. Along the way, floodplains, old farmhouses and small villages alternate. Take a little ferry to the other side and you have a lovely loop.
Ideal for: A relaxed day of cycling, e-bikes and lovers of the river landscape.
Route 2
North and east of Zwolle the cycling is beautiful too. Leave the city behind and ride towards the Overijsselse Vecht, along country roads, water and greenery. Via places like Dalfsen you can make loops as long as you like.

Route 3
Rather just set off and see where the day takes you? Around Zwolle there is an extensive cycling junction network. That makes it easy to put together your own route and make the ride longer or shorter along the way. Feel free to ask us about our favourite directions and stops.
